The College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago, vitally connected to our local area for over 50 years. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide instructional assistance to students in STEM courses in the Math Assistance Area of the College of DuPage.

  • Provide academic assistance to students in mathematics, physics, or other STEM courses, online and in person.
  • Present review sessions or other workshops as needed.
  • Consult with college mathematics faculty and senior academic assistants for consistency in tutoring students as needed.
  • Maintain current and relevant knowledge in subject areas and test preparation.
  • Develop and compile resource materials.


  • Qualifications:

    Education
    • Bachelor's degree in mathematics or another STEM field with a minimum of 12 semester hours in subject area of support required.
    • Master's degree in mathematics or another STEM field preferred.

    Experience
    • Experience teaching or providing academic assistance in mathematics or STEM-related fields at the high school or college level is required.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Good interpersonal skills and excellent proficiency in spoken English required.






        Working Conditions:

      • Hours: Up to 24 hours per week during academic terms only (approximately 40 weeks per year). Some evening or weekend hours may be required.
      • Up-to-date skills in relevant technologies.
      • This position is subject to a background check and education verification at the expense of the College.


      • Pay Grade:
        $26.52 hourly
